Frances Virginia Peek Mashburn

Candler - Frances Virginia Peek Mashburn, 68, of 461 Case Cove Rd. went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 19, 2003 at her residence. A native of Macon County, she had resided in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was a member of Deaverview Evangelist Tabernacle. Mrs. Mashburn was the daughter of the late George and Honor Grace Cabe Peek. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Layell. Surviving are her husband, Furman W. Mashburn of the home; daughters, Gwenda Jones and Brenda Mashburn both of Candler, and Sandra Honeycutt of Leicester; son. Leon Mashburn of Madison County; sisters, Ruth McClure of Otto, Mary Ann Greenway of Hartwell, GA; brothers, Doyle Peek of Georgia and Isaac Peek of Canton, OH, and Leroy Peek of Lenoir; 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Homer Moore, Rev. James Callaway, and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
