John Roberts

Asheville John H. Roberts, 78, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012 at St. Josephs Hospital. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was of the Baptist faith, a mechanic and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. John was the son of the late George and Kate Rector Roberts. Surviving are his wife, of 56 years, Nell Roberts; daughter, Darlene Frizsell and husband Michael; grandson, Jeffrey Frizsell; great granddaughter, Graci Frizsell, the light of his life; sisters, Wanda Mount and husband, Paul and Cathy Roberts; brother-in-law, Jerry and William Rice and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, December 17, 2012 in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
