Agnes Clark

Asheville - Agnes A. Granny Clark, 97, of Asheville, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Hendersonville Health and Rehab in Flat Rock. Mrs. Clark was born in Oklahoma, and moved to Asheville in 1960. She loved to cook, sewing, bowling, watching the Braves play, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Clark; son-in-law, John Ricketts; granddaughter, Kathy Whelchel; three sisters and one brother. She is survived by daughters: Nancy Ricketts of Columbia, SC and Pat (Bob) Branch of Asheville; granddaughters: Karen Robinson of Columbia, Brenda (Steve) Short of Fletcher, and Linda (Andy) Bauer of Concord, NC. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, step grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and step-great, great-grandchildren. Private graveside services are planned for a later date. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting Mrs. Clarks family.
