Albert A. Swilling

Belvedere, SC. - Albert Arcemus Swilling, 65, of 401 Audubon Circle, died Wednesday May 12, 2004 at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga. A native and resident of Buncombe County for many years, he resided in Belvedere, SC. for the past 30 years. He was formerly employed with Schaffers Distributing Co., was a former member of the U.S. Army Reserves and a member of the Green Jackets Diamond Club in Augusta, GA. He was a son of the late George Washington Swilling and Mary Hensley Swilling Pierce. Surviving are his wife, Gloria Jean Penland Swilling of the home; daughter, Kathy Cassada of Asheville; sons, Ricky Swilling of Aiken, S.C., Mike Swilling of Asheville, Randy Swilling of Asheville, Bobby Baldwin of Belvedere and Scotty Baldwin of Belvedere; sister, Doris Martin of Asheville; cousin, Charlie Hensley of Asheville; niece, Debra Burleson of Leicester; 9 grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
