Ann Elizabeth Gray

Asheville - Ann Elizabeth Banks Gray, 84, went to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, Tuesday December 19, 2006 following a period of declining health. A native of McDowell County, she had resided in Buncombe County most of her life. She was the last child surviving of 11 children born to the late Jack and Charity Coates Banks. Surviving are her daughters Judy Ramirez and husband Juan and Mary Lee Martin all of Asheville; sons, Lester Banks and wife Ann of Candler, James Fisher and Jack Gray of Hendersonville; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Hollifield, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
