Anna Lenora Ball

ASHEVILLE Anna Lenora Tolley Ball, 82, of 70 Laurel loop, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008 at her home. A native and resident of Buncombe County for most of her life, she was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Jo Johnson Sunday School class. She was the daughter of the late Wesley Ledor and Donnie Mae Chapman Tolley. She was also preceded in death by a son, Herman Ratliff, Jr., and brother, Jimmy Tolley. Surviving are her husband, John Larry Ball, of the home; daughters: Betty Harris of Raleigh, Rebecca Henderson of Richmond, VA, Teresa Fralick and Anna Catolster, both of Asheville; step-daughters: Kathy Kemp and Pam Whiteker, both of Texas; step-sons: Johnny Ball and Larry Ball, both of Texas; sisters: Lucille Hutchison of Leicester and Mae Bell Moses of Weaverville; 26 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Buddy Corbin, Hospice Chaplain officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 531 Haywood Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
