Barbara Ann Perkins

Arden Barbara Ann Perkins, 66, of 7 New Rockwood Road, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the Memorial campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Washington, DC, she had resided in Buncombe County for the past 31 years. She was a veteran of the US Army. Barbara was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Gladys G. DeLong Perkins. Surviving are her partner of 30 years, Susan Pamela Hensley Ruiz; sisters: Ruth Campbell, Karen Royall, Arlene Perkins, Shirley Kelly and Gerrie Hensley; brothers: Bobby Perkins, Mike Perkins, George Perkins, and John Perkins; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. At Barbaras request, she will be cremated, with no services to be held. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park, Asheville, NC 28801.
