Barbara Chandler

Asheville - Barbara Jean Miller Chandler, 79, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. Ms. Chandler was a native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She was a loving mother, matriarch and hardworking farmer. She was the daughter of the late Cassius and Sallie Whaley Miller. Surviving are her sons, Edward Chandler & life partner Pam Good and Paul Chandler all of Asheville; daughter, Sallie McCall & husband Larry of Asheville; grandson, Ryne McCall; granddaughter, Maressa McCall; brother, Jack Miller of Norfolk, VA. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Hickman officiating. Burial will follow in Brick Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:30 to 2 P.M. Friday prior to services at the funeral home.
