Barbara Jeanette Wallace

Asheville Barbara Jeanette Wallace, 64, of 60-F Hornot Circle, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Joanna, SC, she had resided most of her life in Buncombe County. She worked as a nurses aide, and attended the First Church of God. Ms. Wallace was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Prather Riddle. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Ray; sister, Nancy Ball; and a brother, Johnny Riddle. Surviving are her daughters: Tina Ray and friend Jeff Hawkins of Asheville, Teresa Swanger of Candler, and Donna Jones and husband Alex of Candler; son, Garland Kuykendall and fianc Lois Mills of Leicester; sisters: Judy Pangle of Asheville, Sandra Marler of Leicester, and Rebecca Riddle of Leicester; brother, Ronnie Riddle of Canton; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the First Church of God on Hanover Street.
