Bernice "Bernie" Hamlin

Asheville - Bernice Bernie Hamlin, 67, of 15 Martel Village, died Sunday, September 19, 2004, at the Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center. A native and resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Guy A. and Blanche Deweese Hamlin. Surviving are three sisters: Rosa Lee Harwood, Eloise Privett, and Jean Hamlin, all of Woodfin; a brother, James L. Hamlin of Oakley; and 3 children: Ronnie, Douglas and Cynthia, all of Tennessee. A private memorial service will be held by his family at a later date. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting the Hamlin family.
