Bertha Mae Parham

Leicester - Bertha Mae Cox Parham, 78, of 100 Parham Road died Sunday August 26, 2001 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native and life long resident of Buncombe County she was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She was the daugher of the late Bascombe and Mary Ramsey Cox and wife of the late Walter Ray Parham. She was also preceded in death by her son, David Ray Parham. Surviving are her daughters, Shirley McMahan and Joyce Revis both of Leicester; sons, Steve Parham and Kenneth Parham both of Leicester; sisters, Louise Ponder and Rena Cantrell both of Leicester, Betty Riddle and Lona Ledbetter both of Asheville; brothers, Willard Cox of Alexander, Paul Cox and Frank Cox both of Asheville and four grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Anthony Greene and Joe Sellars officiating. Burial will be at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
