Betty Louise Melton

Betty L. Melton, 85, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Aston Park Health Care. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. Melton was a daughter of the late Ralph Marvin and Maethorn Sams Melton. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Wilson. Mrs. Melton was a Member of the First Church of the Nazarene where she was a cook and enjoyed helping with the children. She is survived by a sister, Phyllis Wilson of Asheville; brothers: Ralph Melton, Jr., Bob Melton, Richard Melton, Russell Melton, all of Asheville, and Larry Melton of Black Mountain; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 2 PM Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Green Hills Cemetery with Rev. James King officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
