Billie Rice Hunter

Asheville - Billie Rice Hunter, 85, died Monday April 22, 2002 at Emerald Ridge Health Care Center. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late George and Ella Tickle and was also preceded in death by her son, Buddy Parker. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Curtis Ownbey of Asheville; daughter-in-law, Pat Parker of Asheville; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Rev. James Lamb officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
