Bleka Bishop

Candler - Bleka Mae Honeycutt Bishop, 66, of 38 Ashe Road died unexpectedly Wednesday September 22, 2004. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Alvin Blake and Margaret Ann Smith Honeycutt. Surviving are her husband Pete Bishop of the home; daughter, Charlotte Jones and husband Mike of Piedmont, SC.; sons, Ricky Bishop and wife Brenda of Edenton and Bill Bishop and wife Lori of Asheville; sister, Barbara C. Perry of Asheville; brothers, Homer A. Honeycutt and wife Shelby of Woodfin and Donald Russell Honeycutt and wife Janice of Candler and 12 grandchildren, Elisabeth, Josh, Jennifer, Megan, Seth, Benji, Brittany, Kyle, Matthew, Caleb, Abby and Isaac. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday at Good News Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Smith officiating.. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park
