Bobby Daniel Rumbough

Bobby Daniel Rumbough passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Born on May 14, 1938, in Asheville, Bobby dedicated much of his life to the service of others and the pursuit of his passions.

For 68 years, Bobby made North West Palm Bay his home, where he became a cherished member of the local landscape. He was employed by the Brevard County Water and Sewer Treatment System, where he devoted his time and effort until his retirement. Outside of work, Bobby had a love for small engines, often spending his days tinkering and refining his skills.

Bobby's legacy is carried on through his loving daughters, Linda Bell, Teresa Menuel (Kelly), and DyAnne Rumbough, all residing in North West Palm Bay, FL. His son, Bobby Rumbough, Jr., also calls North West Palm Bay his home. The family continues to remember Bobby fondly, including his sister, Betty Jean Dobbins (Bobby) of Asheville; along with grandchildren: Brandon Manuel (Nicole), Christina Manuel (Sean), Zachary Rawls, and Steven Rawls. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Haile Manuel, and a great-great-grandfather to Jaxson Louks, who brought immense joy to his life. A special mention goes to his niece, Sissy Jones of Asheville, who held a place in his heart as if she were a daughter. Bobby is survived by numerous other nieces and nephews who hold dear memories of their time with him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hattie Christine Rumbough and Rev. Lucius Frank Rumbough; alongside his brothers: Brodus Rumbough, Billy Rumbough, Jimmy Rumbough, Herman Rumbough, Pete Rumbough, and Dallis Buckner. His sisters: Eula May Rumbough, Ida Rumbough, Hazel Gaddy, and Edith Robinson; as well as his son-in-law, Bill Bell, also welcomed him into eternal rest.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM in the Chapel of Anders Rice & Roper Funeral Home, located at 1428 Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC 28806. The funeral service will follow immediately at12:00 PM at the same location with Rev. Larry Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory and pallbearers for this occasion will include Michael Robinson, Garry Robinson, Justin Osborne, Charlee Rumbough, Michael Hagan, and Stevie Lankford. Following the burial, the family will gather at Bobby's sister's home, 6 Hogan View Drive, Asheville, NC 28804.

Bobby Daniel Rumbough will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the love he shared with those around him. His memory will continue to inspire and bring comfort to his family and friends for years to come.
