Brenda Kaye Camby Reed

Asheville – Brenda Kaye Camby Reed, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at the Memorial Mission Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Junior Camby and Bernice Ruth Hugg House. Surviving are her children: Patricia “Pattie” Reed and her son, Justin Reed of Asheville, and also Tammy Reed of Old Fort, and Harold Reed, Jr. of Morganton; 5 biological grandchildren and 8 biological great grandchildren; significant other, Frank Gentile, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends; and a sister, Judy; brothers: Roger and David. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Philip and brother, Joe Swann. Memorial services will be held at 6 PM Tuesday, July 6, 2021, in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family, care of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, 1428 Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC 28806. The family will receive friends following the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
