Carey Lee Davis Jr.

Asheville - Carey Lee Davis, Jr., 78, of 631 Macedonia road Died Tuesday September 19, 2006 at the Laurels of Green Tree Ridge after a brief illness. A native of Forsyth County, he lived all his life in Buncombe County and retired from WLOS TV and WRDW TV in Augusta, GA.. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Ingham Assoc. He was also a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers. He was a son of the late Carey Lee Davis, Sr. and Emma Jean Ball Melton. Surviving are his wife, Helen Wilson Davis of the home; daughter, Sandra Haynie and husband Fred of Marshall; granddaughter, Courtney Licklider and husband Patrick of Asheville; a niece and several cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Stephen Loftis officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
