Carol Penley Jones

Norcross, Ga. - Carol Penley Jones, 59, of Norcross, Ga. died Friday November 22, 2002 at Emory University Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Jones was raised in Asheville, NC. and moved to Norcross, Ga. in 1977. She was a daughter of Maude Elizabeth Gray of Asheville, NC. and the late James Allan Penley. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Herbert N. Gray. Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Robert William Jones of the home; daughters, Karen Jones Wilson of Mobile, Al., Kim Jones Pounds and Kathy Jones Hiler both of Asheville, N.C.; 4 sisters and a brother, Lee Chapman of Pinellas Park, Fl., Betty Molnar of Conway, S.C., Linda Pardue, David Penley and Debbie Jones all of High Point, N.C. and grandchildren, Katie Wilson, John William Wilson, Michael Wilson, Michelle Pounds, Shelby Pounds and Elizabeth Hiler. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home in Asheville, N.C. with the Rev. Buddy Corbin officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
