Catherine Mae Nanney

Asheville - Catherine Mae Nanney, 70, of Ledgewood Village Apartments, died Thursday, February 24, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a 1954 graduate of Oakley High School, where she was May Queen. She was the daughter of the late Isaac and Bonnie Thompson Hendren. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Dupree. Surviving are her son, Isaac Nanney of Asheville, and her sister, Cornelia Todd of Asheville. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Sunday at Woodland Hills Baptist Church, with the Rev. Raymond Woodby officiating.
