Celia Mae Elkins

Leicester - Celia Mae Justus Elkins, 80, of 64 Dusty Lane died Tuesday September 27, 2005 at Memorial Mission Hospital following a period of declining health. A native of Madison County, she lived most of her life in Buncombe County and was of the Baptist faith. She was a daughter of the late Joe Justus and Josephine Sexton Justus Ballew and was also preceded in death by 2 children. Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Effler of Old Fort; sons, Dale Prater of Swannanoa, Larry Prater of Leicester, Terry Prater of Inman, SC, Darryl Dillingham of Asheville and Claude Dillingham of Leicester; sisters, Ileme Gwynn of Spartanburg, SC and Joyce Campbell of Asheville; brothers, Herman Wyatt of Asheville, R.D. Wyatt of Morristown, Tn and Billy Wyatt of Orangeburg, SC.; 20 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Manson Warren officiating. Burial will be in Elk Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
