Charles Dickson

Leicester Charles Harold Dickson, 79, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Ashe County, Mr. Dickson was the son of the late Parker Moody and Curtis Margaret Rose Dickson. He retired as a long haul truck driver, and was a veteran of the US Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Ann Dickson; and a sister, Gloria Eugenia Dickson Lasley. Surviving are his children: Charann Schneck and husband Tommy, and Kevin Dickson and wife Rebekah, all of Leicester; grandchildren: Jade Dickson and Isaac Schneck; adopted grandchildren: Chuckie, Tanya, and Nikki; brothers: Reggie Dickson, Sheldon Dickson and Chase Dickson; sister, Kay Dickson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 4:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery in West Jefferson, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
