Charles Earl Raines

Charles Earl Raines, 88, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Spartanburg, SC, he resided in Buncombe County most of his life. He was a son of the late Henry and Pearl Flanagan Raines. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Lunsford Raines; 4 sisters, and 4 brothers. He is survived by his children: David Raines, Judy Shepherd and husband Denver, and Sandra Rice and husband JW; sister, Juanita Rhew and husband Frank; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Sunday, May 15, 2016 in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Rice, and Brother Johney Raines officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 7 till 9 PM at the funeral home.
