Christine Carver Williams, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Asheville, at the age of 91. Born on January 28, 1935, in Madison County, she lived a life marked by dedication to family, steadfast faith, service to others, and a tireless spirit.

Christine was the cherished daughter of Clarence Carver and Ollie Hensley Carver, who preceded her in death. Raised in Madison County, Christine laid deep roots in her community and her church, which shaped much of her life’s focus and joy.

A lifelong resident of Western North Carolina, Christine devoted her entire adult life to her career as an insurance agent. Her approach to her work went far beyond business; she viewed it as a ministry, always seeking the wellbeing of her customers with compassion and integrity. Christine's kindness, honesty, and heart for helping others made an enduring impact on countless lives. Each client knew they could count on her not just for guidance, but for a listening ear and a friend willing to go above and beyond.

Christine's devotion to service extended into her faith community. A member of Newfound Baptist Church since 1948, she was committed to the missions of her church family, serving wherever needed. She found joy in teaching Sunday school to youth girls, playing a leading role in Vacation Bible School, and offering comfort through the church’s Bereavement Ministry. Her presence in the church was a steady and reassuring one—a source of wisdom, warmth, and encouragement to all generations.

Outside of her professional and church life, Christine was an avid crafter and enjoyed attending and setting up at craft shows throughout Western North Carolina. This lifelong passion brought her close to many in the crafting community, and her handiwork was often treasured by those who received it. Through her crafts, she expressed creativity, patience, and a desire to bring joy to others.

Above all, Christine treasured her family. She was a loving mother to Jeffery Dale Williams and his wife Ann, and Dwight David Williams and his wife Misook. She found deep pride and happiness in her grandchildren: Lexia Williams, Shannon Williams, Dylan Williams, Dakota Williams, and Drew Merten—as well as in her great-grandchildren: Liam, Ava, Nyla, and Ellie. Her love and guidance shaped the lives of her family members, creating memories that will be carried forward with grace.

Christine is also survived by her brothers, Julian Carver and wife Peggy, and Kyle Carver and wife Judy. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who cherished her loving spirit and remembered her as a source of family unity and joy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack G. Williams who passed away on June 14, 2018; as well as her parents, Clarence and Ollie Carver; her sister, Barbara Hague and her husband Wayne; her brother Rev. William Louie Carver and his wife Mary. Each held a special place in her heart, and their memories remained close to her throughout her long and full life.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Christine's life during visitation on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Newfound Baptist Church, 2605 New Leicester Hwy, Leicester, NC. A funeral service will be held at the church on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 am with Brother Dwight Williams and Rev. Steve Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in the Newfound Baptist Church Cemetery.

Those who knew Christine Carver Williams will forever remember her gentle heart, unwavering faith, and steadfast dedication to serving others. Her legacy of compassion and kindness continues to inspire all who had the privilege to share in her remarkable journey.
