Clairan Morgan "Clara" Wooten

Asheville Clairan Morgan Clara Wooten, 74, of Asheville, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Hospice Solace Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. She was a wonderful lady that will be surely missed. Mrs. Wooten was the daughter of the late Harold Morgan and Mary Mildred Cheek Early, and the wife of Leroy Wooten, who passed away March 6, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Gwyn Campbell Bolick. Surviving are her son, Joseph Wooten and wife Nora; grandchildren: Matthew, Lisa, Nicholas, and Greyson; sister, Peggy Duyck; and brothers: Raymond and Richard Morgan. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. John T. Tiller officiating. Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
