Clarence Edward Powell

Clarence Edward Powell, 81, went to be with the Lord and his wife, Mildred Midge Ingle Powell, on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 5:10 PM, at the Elizabeth House in Hendersonville. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Carl and Augusta Hoots Powell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Ingle Powell; 3 brothers, and 1 sister. Surviving are his daughters: Kimberly Anderson, Victoria West and husband Paul, and Stephanie Gasperson and husband Mike all of Fletcher; grandchildren: Kirsten Powell and wife Kourtney, Brian Camp and wife Michaela, Brandon West, Ryan West, and Lauren Garland; great grandchildren: Kamdyn Powell, McKenna Camp, and Mia Belle Camp; sisters: Betty Chandler, and Marge Caudle; special daughter, Lynn Brooks; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at Hoopers Creek Community Building, Hoopers Creek Road, Fletcher, NC, on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 2 till 5 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Elizabeth House, 571 S. Allen Rd., Flat Rock, NC 28731.
