Clarence Hensley

Asheville - Clarence Hensley, 73, of 7 Ingle Road passed away Monday, August 8, 2005 at his home. A native of Madison County, he had resided in Buncombe County since the late 1970s. He retired as a Law Enforcement Officer and formerly worked with the Marshall Police Department as a Patrolman. Mr. Hensley was the son of the late Floyd Hensley and Byrd Morrow Hensley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Willie Faye Doan Hensley who died in 1985; two sons; a grand-daughter and several brothers and sisters. Surviving are his sons, Danny Hensley of Leicester and Gerald Hensley of the home; daughters, Sandra Wells of Leicester and Shelia Cox of Chesnee, SC; sister Betty Jean Hollifield of Asheville; 10 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Rice officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery.
