Clarence Marvin "Pop" Lively Sr.

Arden - Clarence Marvin Pop Lively, Sr., 80, of 15 Holly Acres Drive, died Tuesday, December 30, 2003 following an extended illness. A native of Atlanta, GA. Mr. Lively was a retired plumber and carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. He honored his country by serving in the U.S. Army and was preceded in death by a stepson, Dale Hutchison, formerly of Asheville. Surviving are his wife, Sarah of the home; son, Clarence Marvin Lively, Jr. and wife, Martha of Columbia, SC; step-children, Sally Colemon and husband, Larry of Asheville, Lawrence Hutchison and wife, Trudy of Candler, James Hutchison and wife, Cathy of Asheville and Keta Wheeler and husband, Larry of Candler; sister, Virginia Irene Money of Columbus, GA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Brown and Rev. Bill Higgins officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
