Curtis Homer Heatherly

Asheville - Curtis Homer Heatherly, 96, of 281 Hazel Mill Road, died Monday May 13, 2002 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of Henderson County, he had loved most of his life in Buncombe County. He was retired from Burlington Industries and was of the Baptist faith. He was a son of the late Ben and Opheila Heatherly and was also preceded in death by his son, Bobby Heatherly. Surviving are his wife, Martha Mathis Heatherly of the home; nieces, Barbara Smith and husband, Harold of Maysville, GA and Loretta Tinsley and husband, Sid of SC; half-brother, Edwin Brooks of Yatesville, GA. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Addie Cemetery in Jackson County with Rev. Gerald Morris officiating. His family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
