Dale Eugene Harper

Dale Eugene Harper, born on January 8, 1969, in Asheville, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Fairview on Friday, December 12, 2025. He will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate to know him.

Dale completed his education at Reynolds High School, graduating with the class of 1987. His career was dedicated to the craft of stone cutting, as he worked for Mason Mountain Mine in Franklin, where his skills and dedication were well recognized.

Dale was well-known for his love of the outdoors, often celebrated for his exceptional outdoor skills and nomadic spirit. He had a passion for embracing nature, frequently venturing into the wilderness and exploring the beauty that surrounded him. His adventurous spirit was complemented by a diverse range of artistic talents; he was an accomplished knife maker, photographer, painter, and wood turner, and he also enjoyed shooting.

Dale is survived by his loving parents, Daniel Eugene Harper and Alice Faye Landreth Harper; along with his cherished sister, Joy Harper Goodwin. He took great pride in his family, including his nephew Jennings Cox and fiancée Haleigh; and his niece, Jessica Clark and her husband CJ. Dale also leaves behind great nieces and nephews: Dawson Cox, Millie Cox, Knox Clark, and Wren Clark; and his beloved dog, Pearl.

He shared many wonderful moments and memories with his good friends, Tom Johnson, Ginger Johnson, and Jason Moore, who held a special place in his heart.

A memorial service to honor Dale's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 455 Hollywood Road, Fairview, NC 28730, with Rev. Robert Ponder officiating. His family will receive friends immediatly following the service at the church on Saturday.

Dale Eugene Harper lived a life full of adventure, creativity, and love. His enduring spirit will continue to inspire those who were touched by his kindness and artistry.
