David Labruce Allen

WOODFIN David LaBruce Allen, 67, of 7 Elk Mountain Place passed away Monday, December 14, 2009 at his home. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He retired in 2004 from Ball Corporation where he served as an electrician. Mr. Allen was a 1960 graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School, was an avid biker, outdoorsman and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Mr. Allen was a son of the late James Kermit Allen and Faye Stepp Allen. Surviving are his sons, Bruce Allen & wife Emily of Claremont, CA, Marc Allen of Dallas, TX and Scott Allen of Asheville and their mother, Syble Johnson Allen of Asheville; grandchildren, Noelle, Jonathon, Cassidy, Delaney sister, Margie Yelton & husband Dwight of Asheville; brother, Mickey Allen & wife Judy of Candler; Aunt, Myrtle Stepp of Woodfin and Uncle, Dick Stepp & wife Peggy of Fairfax, VA and Mr. Allens companion, Carole Morelock of Weaverville. No family services are planned at this time, however, a small celebration of life for friends will held at 2 P.M. Sunday at Alexander Chapel, 880 Aiken Road, Asheville, NC where all bikers are welcome.
