David Lee Blankenship Sr.

Asheville - David Lee Blankenship, Sr., 60, of 65 Honeysuckle Lane died Tuesday - July 5, 2005 at his residence after a period of declining health. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Frank Patterson and Elouise Quinn Blankenship. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Marie Lord and 2 brothers, Howard and Pender Blankenship. Surviving are his son, David Lee Blankenship, Jr. of Asheville; daughter, Virginia Lamm of Etowah; sisters, Bertha Dutch Carter of Greer, SC and Kay Ewart of Candler; grandchildren, Tabitha and Stephanie and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Robert E. Harris officiating. The family will receive friends following services at the funeral home.
