David Roach

Candler - David Lowell Roach, 75, of Candler, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Asheville Specialty Hospital. A native of Rockford, IL, Mr. Roach had resided in Buncombe County since 1973. He was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church, and was a US Air Force Veteran. He was the son of the late John and Flossie Roach, and was also preceded in death by six brothers and a sister. Surviving are his wife, Wilma Arrington Roach; son, Darrin Roach; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Roach and Evelyn Roach; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Stan Welch officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
