David Stephenson

Asheville - William David Stephenson, 58, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mr. Stephenson was the former owner/operator of his own dump truck, and had attended Sunrise Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a Jack-of-all-trades, and was known to have never met a stranger. Mr. Stephenson was the son of Helen Guthrie Stephenson and the late William Henry Bill Stephenson. In addition to his mother, surviving are his daughter, Crystal Stephenson; brother, Monty Stephenson; and nieces and nephews: Angie Black, Kayla Stephenson, Jeremy Stephenson, and Nickolas Stephenson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Guthrie officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
