Dean Rice

Dean Rice, 54, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Buncombe County he was the son of Tom and Leona Avis Rice of Arden. In addition to his parents he is survived by his son, Zachary Dupont and his wife Charity of Hendersonville; grandchildren: Lauren, Kyndra, and Hunter Dupont all of Hendersonville; sisters: Karen Owens of Fairview, and Kristie Draper of Asheville; brothers: Thomas Rice of TX, and Troy Rice of Arden; niece, Felicia Pegg; and nephew, John Owen. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 2 PM at Avery's Creek Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Avery's Creek Road, Arden. The family will receive friends from 7 9 PM on Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
