Don Riggins

Gerton – Donald Gene “Don” Riggins, 80, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the Charles George V.A. Medical Center. A native of Six Mile, SC, he had resided in Buncombe County prior to moving to Henderson County in 2004. He was a car salesman with Sam’s Lincoln Mercury for several years, and was formerly employed with Gerber. He was a former Mason, attended Arden Missionary Baptist Church and was a US Army veteran. Mr. Riggins was the son of the late Harold Grealey Riggins and Sybil Jean Bell Riggins. Surviving are his sister, Judy Gillespie and husband Paul of Leicester; nephews, Jeffrey Gillespie and wife Shelley, Keith Gillespie and wife Jeanne and Anthony Gillespie all of Leicester, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, September 6, 2019 at South Turkey Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Stephen Israel officiating.
