Dora Mary Ellen Brown

Swannanoa - Mrs. A.B. (Dora) Brown, 93, of Sunset Drive, passed away Friday, April 15, 2005 at Memorial Mission Hospital after a period of declining health. A native of Dandridge, TN, she had resided in Western North Carolina for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bly Brown, who passed away in 1964, and a son, Arnold Brown. Surviving are her son, Robert Brown and wife Judy of Swannanoa; her daughter-in-law, Maxine Brown of Mars Hill; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and many special friends. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with her nephews, Rev. Bill Murr and Bill Monroe officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:30 - 3:30 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
