Dorothy Bates

Asheville Dorothy Jean Bates, 69, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County. Mrs. Bates was the daughter of the late Marvin Huelon and Ruby Elizabeth Elkins Bates. Surviving are her brother, Marvin Bates, Jr. and wife Nittaya and nephew, Michael Bates. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7:30 P.M. Friday, July, 6, 2012 at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
