Dorothy Chambers Rice

Leicester - Dorothy Doris Irene Wilson Chambers Rice, 82, of 145 Sandy River Road died Wednesday April 6, 2005 at the Mt. Area Hospice Solace Center after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Fred Theodore and Veokley Smith Wilson and the wife of the late Ralph Chambers who died in March of 1976 and Fulty Rice who died in April of 1995. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Wilson. She is survived by 1 niece, 4 nephews and several step children and step grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
