Dorothy "Dot" Smith

Asheville Dorothy Kathleen Dot Smith, 96, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Aston Park Health Care Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Arrington Anders. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Smith; son, Bobby Smith; and brothers: Martin and Jack Anders. Surviving are her sons: Harold Smith, Jack Smith, and Tommy Smith (LeAnn Deyo); grandchildren: Vicki Smith, Traci Van Ooteghem (Jay), Robbie Smith, and Brian Smith; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Green Hills Cemetery, with Pastor Bob Belford officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 PM Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family would like to express a heartfelt Thank You to the staff of Aston Park Health Care Center, for the love and care Mrs. Smith received during her stay.
