Dorothy Gibbs Honeycutt

Candler - Dorothy Gibbs Honeycutt, 76, of 95 Holcombe Cove Road died Saturday, March 9, 2002. A native of Burke County, NC. She had lived most of her life in Orlando, FL where she retired from the Postal Service before moving to Buncombe County. She was the daughter of the late Caleb C. and Lavonia Lail Gibbs. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William A. Honeycutt, Sr. and two brothers, Walker and John Gibbs. Surviving are her daughter, Catherine Honeycutt Crabtree of Charlotte; son, William A. Honeycutt, Jr. of Deltona, FL; grandchildren, Patrick, Jennifer, Amanda, Melanie and Elise; great grandchildren, Jonathan, Shawn, Michaela, Michael, Cody and Candace; brother, Joe Ben Gibbs of Troutman, NC and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Enka with Rev. Dean Huggins officiating. Her family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
