Dotsy Worley Gray

Elkin, NC – Dotsy Worley Gray, 74, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital in Elkin. A native of Buncombe County, she had resided in Elkin since 2007 and was formally a Real Estate Agent and worked with the U.S. Post Office. Mrs. Gray was a daughter of the late Arthur George Worley and Sarah Elizabeth Purvis Worley. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, a great-granddaughter and a sister, Gwen Worley Anders. Surviving are her husband whom she married in 1965, Robert Joe Gray of the home; daughters, Michelle Gray McDanel (Jim) of Newton and Kimberly Dawn Gray Moore of Charlotte; son, Trent Gray (Lindsay) of Greensboro; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Juanita Worley Smith of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Trent Gray, her son, officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following services at the funeral home.
