Dustin Keith Payne

Asheville – Dustin Keith Payne, 38, went home to be with The Lord on Thursday, April 11, 2024.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of Darrell Keith Payne, and the late Lena Ingle. He was also preceded in death by his step-sister, Ashley Johnson; paternal grandmother, Theresa Vannoy; paternal grandfather, John Payne; and maternal grandparents, Floyd and Mary Anne Ingle.

Dustin was a graduate of T.C. Robinson High School. He loved everything about NASCAR and flagging races with his dad.

Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Darrell Keith Payne; sons: Damien Payne, and Anthony Payne; step-grandmother, Cora Lee Payne of Mars Hill; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2024, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. A private burial will follow at Oak Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 till 2 PM at the funeral home.
