Edith Israel

Hendersonville - Marian Edith Israel, age, 86, of 2000 Haywood Road, passed away Wednesday, March, 23, 2011 at Hendersonville Health and Rehab. Edith was born in Buncombe County, and had resided in Henderson County since 1964. She had retired from American Enka Corporation after 40 years of service and was a member of Main Street Baptist Church, Hendersonville. She was the daughter of Helen Israel Holcombe who died in 1999. Surviving are her sister, Irene I. Revis of Leicester and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, March 25, 2011 in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Max Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Newfound Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
