Edmond Goforth

Edmond "ED" J. Goforth Jr., 79, of Ed Goforth Ministries, passed away on Monday, July 22nd, 2025, peacefully at his home while surrounded by his loving family.

Ed is a native to Madison County. He was the son of the late Edmond Goforth Sr. and Matilda Ramsey Goforth. Ed was a man who loved God, his family and his country. Ed was a graduate of Warren Wilson collage, NC state university and he worked as a service forester with the NCFS for over 30 years. Ed served proudly in the Army from 1970-1974.

Those left to cherish his memory, his wife Ellen of 56 years; his daughter: April Stinson and husband Kevin; grandchildren: Jonny Goforth, Zack Ross and wife Saydi.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, at Candler Church 1945 smokey park highway, Candler, NC, 28715, at 2:00pm.
