Edna Watts Edmonds

Asheville - Edna Cornelia Watts Edmonds, 81, of 1493 Brevard Road died Thursday January 29, 2004 at Memorial Mission Hospital after a period of declining health. A native and resident of Buncombe County for most of her life, she had provided loving day care for her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a member of Bent Creek Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Rouley and Nellie Watts and wife of the late Edward Leon Edmonds. Surviving are her son Wayne Edmonds and wife Linda of Arden; daughter, Libby Stuart and husband Jerry of Asheville; sister, Bernice Sluder of Statesville; grandchildren, Deborah Bohanon and husband Greg, Eddie Edmonds and Stephanie Stuart and great grandchildren, Little Greg and Shelby. Funeral services will be held at 200 P.M. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
