Edward Marchiny Sr.

Maggie Valley Edward Marchiny, Sr. 79, of 222 Apple Blossom Lane, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2009 a t the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Farmington, WV, Edward retired from Ford Motor Company as a metal finisher. He was a member of Ninevah Baptist Church in Waynesville and was a veteran of the US Navy. Edward was the son of the late Andy and Mary Marchiny, and was preceded in death by three sisters: Julie, Mary and Helen; and three brothers: David, John, and Andy. Surviving are his wife, Lucy; children: Edward, Beverly and Scott; four grandchildren; sister, Ann; brothers: Joe, Frank, and Bobby; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Friday at Ninevah Baptist Church, 931 Country Club Lane, Waynesville, with the Rev. Mike Leslie officiating.
