Elizabeth Ballew

Asheville - Elizabeth Suzanne Ballew, 88, of 3 Audrey Lane, passed away Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Noah Franklin and Jessie Wright Ellis. She was also preceded in death by a son, Doug Ballew. Surviving are children: Charles Ballew, Jr., Robbie Ballew, and Charlotte Casey; grandchildren: Lee Finch, Anthony Worley, Wendy Mullis, April Ballew and Tangela Bartlett; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Collins; and brother, James Ellis. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Danny Epley and Rev. Lewis Melton officiating. Burial will follow in Cane Creek Cemetery, weather permitting. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
