Eloise Hamlin Privett

Yorktown, VA - Eloise Hamlin Privett, 80, died Monday, November 14, 2011 at the home of her daughter. A native of Asheville, she had resided with her daughter for the past four years. She was a daughter of the late Guy and Blanche DeWeese Hamlin and was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Knight and a granddaughter, Letitia Tarske. Surviving are her daughter, Pat Leggett and husband Carlton of Yorktown, VA; son, Dean Knight and wife Sandra of Gloucester, VA; sisters, Rosa Lee Harwood and Jean Hamlin both of Asheville; brother, James Hamlin of Asheville; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Drew Mabry officiating.. Burial will be in Elk Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before services at the funeral home.
