Evelyn C. Brendle

Asheville - Evelyn Crawford Brendle, 83, died Monday - December 3, 2007 at Aston Park Health Care Center following an extended illness. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired from Bon Marche and J.C. Penny. She was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church and attended Westwood Baptist Church. she was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was a daughter of the late Bron Curtis and Flora Joan Radcliff Crawford and the wife of the late Ray Brendle. She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Lee Brendle. Surviving are her daughters, June Fisher of Arden, Joan Brendle of SC and Tammy Ray Atkinson of Candler; sons, Stan Brendle of Jacksonville, FL and Donald Brendle of Candler; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pisgah View Memorial Park.
