Evelyn Wilson Bagwell

Asheville - Evelyn Patricia Wilson Bagwell, 82, died Friday June 29, 2007 at Memorial Mission Hospital after an extended illness. A native of Yancey County, she lived most of her life in Buncombe County. She was a member of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late George and Rita Jane Wilson and was also preceded in death by a son, Ron Bagwell and a sister, Helen Lanning. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, James Burton Bagwell of the home; daughter, Vickie Sizemore and husband Gene of Asheville; sisters, Helena Higgins, Jessie Woody and Thelma Hunnicutt all of Yancey County; brother, Fred Wilson of Candler; sister-in-law, Marge Bagwell of Fairview; granddaughters, Kathy Taylor and Traci Dove; 7 great grandsons; 1 great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike Wilson and J.C. Parker officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
